AFD Software Ltd provides addressing software to help organisations maintain accurate, efficient databases and deliver products and services accurately – which it has done for over 35 years.
We promise to respect any personal data you share with us, or that we obtain from other organisations and keep it safe. In accordance with Data Protection legislation, most especially the new General Data Protection Regulations, we aim to be transparent about the personal data we hold about you, why we hold it and what we do with it.
We may collect information from you personally from correspondence that you send to us, during telephone conversations, from entries you make on our website, from trade partners/resellers or from face-to-face contact at events that we attend.
We collect this information from you to create and maintain an accurate record of our contact with you, record information about your requirements and to provide details of products and services we may supply, and record of any financial transactions between us.
You may request a copy of the information we hold about you by completing a Subject Access Request Form and submitting it to our Data Protection Officer. To protect you from frivolous or malicious access to you data, our Data Protection Officer must be satisfied with your identity credentials before processing your request.
We aim to respond to your request within one month. If there are reasons why this is likely to take any longer than this, we will notify you and explain the circumstances.
As a general rule, we don’t share your personal data with others. Any exception might be sub-contractors who carry out printing and packing for our newsletters – but the contractors are under strict data-protection obligations and may only access your data in order to carry out this printing and packing.
We may contact you by phone, email or by post about specific aspects of your use or potential use of our products and services.
Postcode News, our Quarterly Newsletter is issued by post and via email to our customers, recently lapsed customers, and those who have enquired about our products. It aims to inform customers about changes to UK and International addressing and banking data, keep in touch and provide information about changes to our products as well as provide case studies.
We will keep your information for the minimum time necessary.
If you wish to request us to remove information from our databases, please contact our Data Protection Officer.
Requests for erasure of information will be handled on a case-by-case basis and will be dependent on whether terms of contract have been met, there are no outstanding monies or fees owed and there is no legal reason why we would need to obtain your information.
