Unix Server Guidelines
The Unix version of Postcode Plus includes CGI binaries for each
Postcode Everywhere function. In conjunction
with a web server, these
provide Postcode-Everywhere server functionality
from a Unix server.
With Postcode Plus installed on your server, copy the CGI binaries
to an appropriate place from which the
web server can serve them (e.g. a cgi-bin
directory). You can then access the Postcode
Plus functions by issuing http requests
and receiving XML-formatted results.
More information on Postcode Plus for Unix is available in the Postcode Plus for Unix Developers Guide.
You can download an evaluation version of Postcode Plus for Unix
to try it out.
Note: Postcode Everywhere is also available as a hosted service
which is platform independent and does not require anything to be installed on your server.
