Hosted Service Guidelines
AFD's Postcode Internet Online (PIO) hosted service provides address data in an XML response,
and is a popular option
when you would prefer not to install anything on your web server.
Since we host the data ourselves, it is automatically
updated when new data is available, so there are no
maintenance issues for you to worry about.
To access a hosted server you need to provide your
serial number and password with each lookup request.
These are issued to you when you sign-up for Postcode Internet Online.
The hosted PIO service is fully compatible with the Common API method of integration. You can download the SDK for development here.
Note: that if you are using hosted PIO you do not need to
install any of our products.
